All have busy professional and family lives but they love to perform the music of their early years: what is now known as Classic Rock. They well remember the time "when rock was young" and share their enthusiasm with their listeners. Background The name of the group comes from the four years of college plus four years of medical school required of the five central members: 5 x 8 = 40 Years of College. They have been playing together for fifteen years, generally covering the music they like best. The group has also written a number of original tunes and produced a CD of all original music. They are well known for their vocals, even to the extent of adding harmonies to songs which originally did not feature them. Fees The band generally charges something close to union scale for performances intended to make a profit for the promoter but is also a reliable supporter of arts and other organizations, performing several times per year for free.
