My knowledge base has increased considerably of how to do botanical dye with an eye toward non-toxic invasive species in the re-purposing of fabrics for clothing and quilting arts. As I relive the footsteps of an ancestoress who spun and wove first in Scotland, then here, I find renewed life in weaving the old patterns, making my handspun yarns, simple quilts using natural fibers, dyes and simple ways. My tapestries are impressionistic, my weaving orderly, my quilts traditionally experimental and I just plain enjoy felting. My mission is to keep the old ways and inspire, plant new seeds of fiber interest, and (more)
