To promote understanding and awareness of the historical and cultural legacy of Native Americans in the Madison County area, through a Native American Powwow and educational and cultural presentations to area schools.
Central Indiana Powwow was established in 2003 to promote the historical and cultural legacy of the Delaware Indians in Madison County, The powwow and Indian Market has grown to become one of the most respected Native American Powwows in the state. The event and education components reach a combined attendance of 5,000 persons. Central Indiana Powwow was honored by the Exchange Club of Anderson for the economic impact and the postive image it creates with the Golden Deeds Award.

Visitor Information
The Powwow is held the first weekend yearly following Labor Day Weekend. The hours are Saturday from 11am to 10p.m. and Sunday from 11a.m. to 4p.m.
