Description
The mission of the Special Events division of the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is to direct and produce events that will add to the quality of life of the greater Richmond community and visitors. By providing special events we hope to enhance quality family fun and serve leisure needs. Special events will also involve and unify organizations, businesses and volunteers for the purpose of providing positive recreation. Furthermore, we wish to promote community pride and identity by showcasing the community's educational, cultural, and social benefits. The mission of the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department as a whole is to provide a safe and affordable place where the community can learn and have fun in a beautiful environment.
Background
We take great pride in our programs and events here at Richmond Parks and Recreation. We offer low cost and mostly FREE programs including-but not limited to: a FREE summer day camp, FREE environmental education classes for all ages, FREE outdoor movies, FREE concerts in the park, FREE festivals, and, low cost 5K races, golf tournaments, and sport leagues. All special events are sponsorship or revenue driven and require an extensive amount of planning , partnering, and grant funding with various organizations and business local and corporate.

Availability

Fees
I do not charge a fee during work hours.
