For my glass art I use an oxygen/natural gas torch to melt glass and form it into beautiful beads. Many techniques resemble gardens of flowers in glass, raked and marblized designs that are like ancient beads from centuries ago. Most of my beads are sold to designers who add their creative style to them. You can see examples on my website Links will take you to other forms of art that I have delved into as well as the Hist. Yount's Woolen Mill-Inn-Gardens.
My formal education was at the Herron School of Art. majoring in fine art, illustration and advertising. Awards include purchase awards and Best in Portrait category in the Hoosier Salon. Portraiture has been a life long profession and a career in graphic design, including publishing under the name of Pennyroyal Papers & Publications since 1975. I designed, manufactured, and distributed books, notes, and giftwrap papers throughout the USA, Canada, Australia, and England. Our papers were carried by many museum gift shops, catalog companies, and specialty shops. Recently the art of flameworking glass for wearable art and small sculptures have occupied my time and passion. I have studied with noted artists including the master paperweight artist, Paul Stankard, bead artists Kristen Frantzen Orr, Pamela Wolfersburger, Loren Stump, Milon Towsend, and Jennifer Geldard.
